Online gambling is increasingly popular among Generation Z for various reasons, such as the desire to earn money, follow trends (FoMo), and fulfill a lifestyle. However, online gambling users increased during the Covid-19 pandemic, which changed social processes and connected people's lives online, limiting social interactions, which then gave rise to negative emotions. One negative emotion thought to be associated with online gambling tendencies is equality. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of ignorance on online gambling tendencies in Generation Z. The research method used was quantitative with linear regression analysis. The results showed a significance value of 0.040 < 0.05 and an R-squared of 0.039, indicating that equality influences online gambling tendencies in Generation Z by 39%. Therefore, online gamblers experiencing similar experiences require psychological intervention as the most effective treatment to prevent increased tendencies, problems, and risks arising from online gambling involvement.
