This research seeks to explore the connection between identity development during emerging adulthood and digital maturity in university students actively involved in organizations. Emerging adulthood is a transitional phase towards adulthood, characterized by the process of identity formation and self-adjustment to various social demands, one of which involves the use of digital technology. This creates a challenge for students engaged in organizations, as they must not only use their organizational participation as a means to shape their self-identity but also demonstrate prudent use of digital technology. This study is a quantitative investigation focusing on correlations. The respondents for this research were 387 university students active in organizations, aged 18 to 25 years, selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data collection was performed using two research instruments: the Identity Development scale and the Digital Maturity scale. Both measurement tools had undergone adaptation and testing processes. Data analysis for this study utilized the Spearman's Rho test, which showed a significant positive correlation between Identity Development and Digital Maturity (r = 0.162; p < 0.05). This result indicates that developing a healthy identity through organisations can improve student”s digital maturity. Conversely, if student in organizations lack strong identity development, their digital maturity tends to be low. Previous research has shown that healthy identity development is influenced by a positive environment. Another finding by Laaber, Florack, Koch, & Hubert (2023) demonstrated a relationship between psychological development and digital maturity. Thus, these two findings reinforce the correlation between identity development and digital maturity.
