This quantitative research with an explanatory design examines the influence of perceived social support on personal growth initiatives in employees. This is motivated by the demands of adapting to change and competition in the industrial world of work, which requires employees to have self-development initiatives. Involving 139 employees in Indonesia (with a minimum of one year of service), selected using a convenience sampling technique. The instruments used were the Personal Growth Initiative Scale-II (PGIS-II) from Robitschek et al. (2012) and the Perceived Social Support Scale from Kuriakose et al. (2019), then analyzed using simple regression (SPSS 24.0). The results showed that perceived social support had a positive and significant effect on personal growth initiatives (R = 0.328; R² = 0.108; p = 0.000; B = 0.637). This indicates that positive perceptions of superior/coworker support will increase employees' personal growth initiatives (effective contribution 10.8%). These findings imply that organizations need to create a climate of social support to encourage employees to be proactive in self-development.
